Cindy Watson was born and raised in Cambridge and has dedicated her life to advocating on behalf of the communities that make up our great region. Cindy has been married to her husband Kevin for 28 years, and together they are the proud parents of four and grandparents to four beautiful grandchildren.
Cindy has contributed to her community in multiple ways over the years. As Trustee and former Vice Chair of Waterloo Regional District School Board and Ontario Public School Board Association Director, Cindy has chaired committees, formed policy and helped create an education system that works for students of Cambridge. At numerous points throughout her career, Cindy has advocated on behalf of her communities at City Council, Regional Council and at the provincial level as well. Cindy is ready to take her experience advocating on behalf of Cambridge to the federal level.
Encouraged by community members, neighbours and family, Cindy has decided to put her name forward for the nomination to become the Conservative candidate that will represent Cambridge in the House of Commons.
Cindy’s leadership style is not from the top-down, but from the grassroots up. She knows that having the privilege of representing the people of Cambridge means listening to them and being responsive to their concerns.
The hard-working people of Cambridge deserve to have a voice at the table when decisions are being made in Ottawa that impact our daily lives. Cindy is committed to advocating for Cambridge on Parliament Hill and ensuring that the interests of our families and our businesses are always considered.
